Missed call but looks shady!

Called me at 8.35am and left no message. I suspect this is a scam.

Date 16-12-19 10-40 am. Automated call said he was from BT. Wanted me 2 press button 1 to get technical help. Claimed my broadband would shut down. I did Not cll back as I could hav been charged money. Looks like a scam to me.

Called by an Asian gent who eventually answered me (suspicious already) said he was a technician calling from some company or other (couldn t resolve company name) and said I had something wrong with my computer updates. I don t use my mobile very much. Have just noticed this number logged as a missed call on 2 Sept 2016, so whoever it was was still busy on that date. I ve had no other calls from that number. I do have a Virgin Media account.

I m so glad i Googled the number while talking to this lovely lady, yes all fair and well it might a great deal and for a worthy cause but I m already giving to my own choice of charity so was not prepared to risk 79.99 being taken from my account should i miss the cut off point or they take it earlier than stated. My 93 year old mother received a call from these scumbags and said something about her standing in front of Windows . She knows nothing about computers.

Recorded message supposedly from national crime agency saying my n.i.number was being suspended! Definitely a SCAM.

Said they were from TSB and wanted me to confirm my details to them
