Received a call from VJ from HSBC in India. He insisted that we give out sensitive bank details before he could even talk to us. When refused, he gave an 0800 number for us to contact HSBC directly.

I also get lots of calls from this number. I asked the nature of the company and why they are calling me for. The chap normally gets very aggressive repeating to me over and over that I am owed PPI from my bank. I just kept asking the nature of the call and what the name of his company. He did not like this one bit explaining, he wanted needed to confirm my postal details, and the person he was talking to. received the same message as the other people posting here, asking to call 0844 571 5190 and quote exactly the same reference number: 778660. Since we all know that this is a big scam designed to rip off unsuspecting people, I fail to see why the police cant shut these people down - or better still why they cant administer a ?500.00 fine to the number, which they would have to pay to their service provider.

Claimed to be a from a national claims body checking that Car Insurers were doing their job properly. Knew my name car model and registration-said he resented my remark that it was another scam call from them.

"Elwyn" called my number Thursday 18th May 2017 at 17.30. He wanted to talk to me about car insurance/accident. I put the phone down.
