They ask to get into your computer, convincing you you have people hacking your PC. Afterwards they give you a link to buy a product of theirs. So do not do that!!!

Non native English speaker calling from "Vindows" sic. I kept him on the line for a few minutes claiming that I was pressing buttons but my VCR was not working & could he help me get it working because I wanted to watch a film called Scammers.

After receiving this call, I asked for a return call for me to get my banking details, but checked the 0800 number instead, and got this site. Glad I did. I ll be informing family and friends now. Thanks for this site.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Finally received payment, however we had to instruct another solicitor to start winding up and they paid up an hour before we were going to issue court papers. My guess is they think most people will not be bothered or do not want to lose more money. These people disgust me, I bet they cant walk down the street without looking over their shoulder, how do they sleep !!!!!
