Phonecall from local-ish number(Chesterfield) said it was Jenny from the Hearing Centre and that she understood I previously worked in a noisy environment. I said No and she promptly hung up - didn t get to ask whether she had the right person or where she got my number from. Appears to be scam call from somebody with Asian accent pretending to be from BT offering to improve internet connection and security, wants to know if you are using a 'smart' device at home (e.g. laptop, ipad, phone) but not interested in 'helping' if it is not a personal 'smart' device.

This number is a company called Natural Essentials. They flog over-priced vitamins and supplements to vulnerable elderly people. They are really persistent. When they come up against call blockers, they instantly re-dial with alternative numbers. Just recently they are even switching to international numbers in an effort to bypass. Associated numbers are 08000148950, 08000148960, 02034567894, 02034535242, 02034535243, 02034535244, 02034535245, 02034535246, 02034535247, 02034535248. Block them all!

Seems to be University of Bristol Alumni organisation, phoning alumni. Other sites report fund-raising. Probably legitimate rather than fraudulent, but I have no knowledge.

Following up a comment that this number might be Friends of the Earth, I emailed FoE and was told the number is a fund-raising agency called Listen, used by FoE. At my request FoE has deleted my number. I suggest that anyone who keeps getting calls from this number also contacts FoE via the Contact Us form on the website, to ask for their phone details to be removed so no more calls are received.

Recorded voice talking about that there is a warrant out for my arrest due to tax evasion. This followed another call a few days prior from a different number claiming to be HMRC - another recorded voice telling me to press a button in order to speak to someone about my tax evasion and threatening with legal action/arrest if I didn't. Awful messages and probably quite frightening for someone elderly or vulnerable. Don't interact with the messages and block this number!
