A call from this number that was a recorded message. It was an Amazon payment scam call. I called back and got a reply. I tried to tell the man who answered that I thought his number was hijacked by scammers. He hung up probably thinking I was the scammer.

This person is a serial scammer and fraudster who responds to wanted ads placed on Gumtree. Usually uses the main identity of Marlon on Gumtree, but sometimes uses his alleged daughters details: Zara Hussain. I think this is a scam number aiming to talk the vulnerable (ie people with debts) into giving out their bank details. I terminated the call as soon as they mentioned debts/creditors

These are both premium-rate, non-geographic numbers, and if they have called you, probably spoofed anyway - they tend to be used for TV/radio phone-in competitions.
Unintelligible call from an alleged technical support line, sounded Asian! Hung up when they were told we could not understand.
Called every day now from a number beginning 0208 xxxxxx. This number 0208 275 4022 today. So many scam calls now I let every call go to the answerphone and just use the mobile, this is so persistent that I called back from mobile. There was no connection, tried the other niumbers beginning 0208 received in the last 7 days - BT recording saying numbers unrecognised, Have no idea if this is a scammer or genuine - but if its genuine they are doing a poor job as you cant call back.
