I think this is a boiler room operation, touting for investment. Even after you tell them where to get off, they still call back many times. A boiler room operation is one which hypes "investments" which probably don t exist and you lose your money. Worryingly they knew my name.

Rang me twice today, and on previous occasions, I think. The moment I pick up, it s like the caller chose *that* moment to hang up, but that happens too often, with this and other numbers, to be a coincidence.

Indian chap claiming to be from the Credit Investigation Department about debts I had. I said I didn t have any debts. He said bye & I laughed down the phone. Next time I ll order a curry.

First Port they call after you finish talking to customer service to find out if the person has sorted your issue.

Getting several calls a day from this number which will not respond (number not known) when called back. I have a hardware blocking device which stops unwanted calls from ringing but they show on the call register nonetheless.

I just bought a washing machine from boots online and in less than an hour got a call on both my landline and mobile. I was having my hair cut at the time of the calls so I did not answer. When I answered this call, an American robot type voice said my internet was going to be terminated unless I pressed various keys on my phone. Annoying.

Called twice claiming to be from the BBC. Had a strong Indian accent couldn t really understand much (and I m Asian). Definitely spam.
