Called by an Asian gent who eventually answered me (suspicious already) said he was a technician calling from some company or other (couldn t resolve company name) and said I had something wrong with my computer updates. What! I told him I was an IT Consultant (truth) and he started telling me what to do. Several times I told him he was a scammer but he completely ignored me. Phonecall from local-ish number(Chesterfield) said it was Jenny from the Hearing Centre and that she understood I previously worked in a noisy environment. I said No and she promptly hung up - didn t get to ask whether she had the right person or where she got my number from. I use a different number for work yet this came on my personal mobile and so work related calls wouldn t call me on that. Probably Claims call
SCAM Answered call, advised to press 1 or a warrant for my arrest would be issued. Said it was HMRC and there was a fraud investigation in my name. I advised before I provided personal details, could they advice the reason for the call as no letters had been issued. The caller terminated the call.

Cold calling is not the way to sell windows or home improvements. Especially when you are a victim of a crime where you re trying to deal with police and a useless phone call from an aggressive cold calling company. I wish people would stop selling other peoples phone numbers.
