SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities. Received a call from this number with an electronic voice recording claiming that our BT line was to be disconnected. We are NOT with BT! . This is a scam and a fraud. It was also at 8:30 in the morning when not everyone would be up. I do note that googling this number does seem to produce a former genuine use for it, but i double-checked the number. This was a scammer., There is no question about it.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account.
