This number is from a cold calling company naming themselves Total Review. They want to keep you on your phone as it makes them money. I have been called by a couple of these numbers with the last four digits varying. Just another scam.

SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities. Avoid giving any caller your PIN or bank details unle

+44 161 082 4479 just had a call from this number. It’s an automated message saying I’m involved in tax fraud and I must press 1 on my keypad NOW. At that point I just hung up so don’t know what else was said but I’m sure if I was involved in tax fraud the last thing I would get is an automated message. Please be careful and just hang up and report it on here or anywhere so others can know about it. This is a dangerous call.

Had several calls today from this number.. And when we were having our tea, the house rang with this number and when we didn t answer it the mobile rang....this makes you think it is an urgent call???!!!! DO NOT GIVE ANY DETAILS! Indian sounding male with very broken English. After the fourth time of asking I finally managed to decipher that he said he was calling from BT Openreach. When I said 'OK I understand now' there was a long pause as if he didn't know what to say next. I could hear someone in the background also saying 'This is BT Openreach'. When I asked him what he was calling about he just kept repeating 'This is BT Openreach'. I asked him if he had lost his script......and he rang off.

Then told me he needed money and I should give him some as people like me are rich because the government gives me money. Got even more aggressive when I said no .
