Phonecall from local-ish number(Chesterfield) said it was Jenny from the Hearing Centre and that she understood I previously worked in a noisy environment. I said No and she promptly hung up - didn t get to ask whether she had the right person or where she got my number from. I use a different number for work yet this came on my personal mobile and so work related calls wouldn t call me on that. Probably Claims call

Scam leaving voice messages saying there is a law suit against me and that if I don't act, my NIH number will be void. Phoned them back up, a gentleman in a call centre picked up, saying "HMRC, this is Steve speaking". I explained I had a call from this number about a law suit, he then asked for my name, which I gave him and he then said they can't find me in the system so he would need to ask for more information. HMRC fraud. Computer generated voice tells that they are the HMRC and that there is a fraud case in my name, if I don't press 1 to get connected to an advisor an arrest warrant will be issued. Very unimaginative scare tactic, very obvious that they will try to defraud people. Didn't have the time and couldn't be bothered messing with them, so just hung up.
Said he was calling on behalf of certain government departments -Transport and Sport England - told him not interested but still a bit persistent. Put the phone in the end. Bloody nuisance!
