Being used for phishing. Claims to be from bank security warning of large amounts taken from your card, usually including Amazon, but, as usual, does not specify which bank or card.

Automated call telling me of fraud activity on my account. Wanted me to verify 2 payments, £300 to Amazon and……. I hung up.
Fraud SPAM SCAM Told that I am being called from Visa Security Department saying that there has been a fraudulent purchase made for around £900 from my amazon or ebay account and whether I want to stop this fraudulent payment when no such purchase has been made or is even pending from my bank account. This was a call from Retail Trade Domestic Ltd, a legitimate caller regarding business matters. They are appliance suppliers in Basildon.
Called to tell me that there is been over thousand pounds transaction on my account today, and I should ring in to stop the transaction if I have not authorized the transaction. I checked with my bank who have told me there's been no such transaction. Clearly a scam call.

3 times these person called me after saying twice nicely that I wasn't interested and hanged up. The 3rd time wasn't so nice and asked to speak to management and he refused to and then was threatening as well saying who do you think I am and do you know who I am etc.
Picked up but remained silent. They hung up without speaking.

SCAM Pretty sure this is a scam. Text received supposedly from Evri - missed delivery, but following link to redeliver, the site requested card information and redelivery fee. On Evri website, Evri state that if you have missed a parcel, you don't need to do anything as a redelivery will be attempted next day. Scam. Beware. No-one contacting you should be asking for card details.

Fraud SCAM Got a call from this number, 21/02/2024 at 16:41. Scam caller claiming to be carphone warehouse, which I have no account or dealings with. The people on the other end were talking together unaudibly for at least 30 seconds before some lady spoke through the phone claiming to be carphone warehouse, which she called ‘carphone company’. Hang up and block this number immediately.

I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. Very insistent woman claiming that I am due a payment because a 3rd party has admitted fault in a car accident in the past 12 months and I am due my excess back. Did not pursue the call but she effectively wanted me to complete a form over the phone and unwilling to send details in the post or elaborate on any information they hold about me. Could be phishing?
