Same story. About a road accident I had but caller was from Liverpool and they used an 01462 area code. Trying to get me to claim for unnecessary whip lash etc, I suspect. Blocked.

Noisy background with someone shouting "Mr [my first name]? Mr [first name]?" So clearly nobody I know, and nobody I want to speak to either.
These are a pest but all they can do is ring up or send you a letter if you speak to them admid nothing just answer with you rang me when they ask for details there a debt collecter with no clout they cant come to your property as they are Not high court enforcement officers or agents.
Appears to be spam: called us offering to renew our Amazon Prime account - we do not have one!!

SCAM trading call I googled the number and seems to come up with this facebook group selling gold too. Guy is called Daniel Bygrave.
Eight calls in two weeks. Many ring once and hang up, expecting you to call back. When you do answer a call quickly there s sometimes a delay in them answering, meaning they are multi calling at the same time. Over polite conversation never quite getting to what they want. Probably accident scammers.

28 Dec 2021 - Claimed to be offering some phone deal (hard to tell exactly what, through thick Indian accent). I repeatedly challenged him on not having checked my number against Telephone Preference Service "do not call" list, and eventually he apologised and hung up. Reply

A very aggressive and rude call from Cancer Research wanting money. When told not to call again he said that only the person he was looking for could request that. I ve now blocked the number on my Truecall.co.uk box, he ll never get through again from this number.

had a call from this number twice in 24 hours. telling me they had information about me working in the industry? when I questioned this the caller kept asking me to confirm my details, which I refused and got annoyed and hung up. From looking the number up and finding all these comments saying Vanquis - i called Vanquis up asking why a debt collecting agency is harrassing me when I paid off any money oweing last year and wrote a letter of cancellation LAST YEAR! I dont even have a valid in date credit card with them - how could I owe money?! They obviously havent closed my account! Because I cant remember an email address of password from 4 Years ago they will not talk to me about the account! Vultures!! They should be closed down.

This number left a message to call back John (no company name). When i returned the call he tried to sell me a pension. I questioned his methods and he put the phone down on me. Any company that operates in such a way is not worth dealing with.

Caller introduced himself as "Lawrence from Microsoft". Cold call asking for a specific person at our company regarding Yahoo and Bing listings and their verification, allegedly. Claimed he would remove our listing on Yahoo/Bing when I said I wasn t interested! What a stupid threat and what an idiot. He eventually admitted he was from infosure. He didn t get what he called for but he certainly got what he deserved!
