Received an uninvited call to my landline number, claiming to be conducting a health survey on behalf of the UK Government. The health questions didn t concern me but the depth of personal info requested did. I now regret giving so much info away (including name, address, age, no of adults and children), which I might not have done with an email survey. It s a fake number anyway. London numbers don t start with a 6 after the city code of 020.

S.E Asian female with poor script promising relief from debts. Why can t our telecoms companies find and block these parasites?

My number is not listed and they called my land line AND mobile! Apparently they sent me a letter, but wanted me to confirm my address. I never got anything and had never heard of them before! I told them on both occassions - they called withing 5 minutes on both lines - to take me complete details off their list and stop harrassing me or I would call the authoroties. On my question what it was about why they called they didn t answer. SCAM! They had my name.

Vodafone wanting me to stay with them as I cancelled my Contract yesterday as they couldn t beat the competition.

PPI Claim Company. Using local number misleading you into thinking phoning from where you live, you then answer the call only to find it's another annoying PPI claim company.

They are trying to get you to call back at your cost, then they ll try to persuade you to give them your details so they can pass them on to a PPI scammer
