These people rang me on 01782887349 about 6 months after I tried to use them for a quote. The caller could not pronounce my name correctly and I was unable to make out which Insurance Company she represented. She rang off when I used my "old fart" I can t hear you dear, routine. The company was in fact useful in that originally they informed me of "3" YES "3" to blame claims in my name. I now have none and it was a task to get in touch with the CUE Database people, the BBC, journalists and other insurers

Caller introduced himself as "Lawrence from Microsoft". Cold call asking for a specific person at our company regarding Yahoo and Bing listings and their verification, allegedly. Claimed he would remove our listing on Yahoo/Bing when I said I wasn t interested! What a stupid threat and what an idiot. He eventually admitted he was from infosure. He didn t get what he called for but he certainly got what he deserved!

Said they were Amazon confirming an order of a phone.... No Chance!

Got call this morning at 10.33 . Did nt answer it as I suspected as much. TPS needs to get their finger out and sort firms like this out. "Pevert the course of Justice offence?" Sad bit is it ll be a UK law firm who are most likely bank rolling it.

Asked me about a recent accident I ve apparently had at work and then asked for my bank details so they can "confirm my identity", even though they wouldn t give me their name, the company name, or the nature of the accident

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. Recorded as a missed call on my mobile. Trustworthy companies do not ring but leave no message.

"Congratulations! You have been entered to win £500".... They asked for my account details, so I hung up and blocked.
