Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. SCAM / SPAM It was an automated phone call saying it was HMRC that there was a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion and I had to press 1 to talk to someone, otherwise I would be arrested immediately. Total scam, Google HMRC automated call and the top result is that it is a confirmed scam and you should end the call immediately.

SCAM / SPAM - Lady over the phone (asian accent) by name of Linda Jones apparently calling from HMRC tax fraud and evasion, evening time. asking for my personal details and full name. Refused to give me her job title or confirm anything in writing/email - threatened to pass over my info to the courts if i didn't co operate. Ended the call when I started asking her information relating to her role.
