Originally, I ask for consultation for a personal website by mistake and Arial made sure that I got to the right department and reschedule me an appointment with Commerce-redesign on the same day. Allowed call to progress to answer phone; invited to press 1 to speak to a technician otherwise would loose telephone line and broadband facility. Call not initiated by landline or broadband supplier.
Caller claimed to be working with BT to save us money on our BT bill. She was obviously lying as we don t use BT. Became aggressive when I refused to say who we did buy telephone service from. I suspect it s some type of scam.

Fraud - called from a field near the River Calder off the A59 saying a stop had been put on my tax code due to criminal activity and to press 1 to talk with an officer (pre recorded message)
Robovoice saying press 1 to connect to your case worker then cuts off
SCAM call from machine voice purporting to be Amazon asking me to press 1 to contact Amazon, telling me my Amazon Prime subscription is about to be renewed.
Says they are calling fom BT about a problem with internet speed and need to log onto my laptop to fix it. I kept them on the phone for about 30 mins playing along until I got bored and told them they would need to book an appointment if they wanted to try scam me.

This Green Energy Advisory service have been calling umpteenth times. I was asked how I was today and told the bloke I wasn t happy they were calling again even after having asked them to take their number off their list. I then got shouted at, at which point I put the phone down.
