They call leaving voicemails saying ‘this is not a marketing call, please call back’ I’ve also had texts asking to call back quoting the following reference number...which is different every time. And the name they use to address me via text spells both my first and last name wrong (not just one letter wrong, almost incoherently wrong!) so I will be blocking these obvious scammers!

I was in the shower when they rang, had to rush to the phone, only to find they were wasting my time trying to get me to buy some stuff I don t need, by this time the water was still running and I m on a meter! Also my towel got soaked so I was unable to dry myself properly after the shower

Recorded message supposedly from national crime agency saying my n.i.number was being suspended! Definitely a SCAM.
Got call this morning at 10.33 . Did nt answer it as I suspected as much. TPS needs to get their finger out and sort firms like this out. "Pevert the course of Justice offence?" Sad bit is it ll be a UK law firm who are most likely bank rolling it.

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. Rehan Ali was recommended and everything went through smoothly. I did get confused with accessing my account as I tried to do it through British Gas online, who kept saying they did not have a record of me, eventually I twigged that I access the account through Britishgaslite.co.uk not British Gas. We are now waiting for a smart meter to be fitted. I have been given a date and a time rather than a day or half day slot, I just need to see if they turn up, but so far 5 star rating.
