Asian gentleman called saying he is from BT open reach suggesting I have a problem with my internet as they are seeing errors from it. He demanded I install team viewer quick support app on my iPad to takeover my iPad remotely to resolve the issue. Of course I said no and stopped the conversation … clearly a scam as BT would never ask for this …

He is a scammer, a fraud. He used someone else s passport to rent a room, took 600GBP as security and ran away.
SCAM. This number called me twice today claiming to be my bank! Said two withdrawals had been made from my account. Press a number if you did not authorise this. I hung up and rang bank and of course it was not genuine.

called where i work this morning. Really rude man on the line telling me he wants to find hidden commission in our utility bills. when i said our accountants are on with doing it he cut me off and said they wont be getting what he can get us. would hardly let me speak and when i could he corrected me every time although i was repeating what he had said. in the end he said "what a rude person" and hung up. dont answer to them it will be scam.

Some called offering to get rid of cold call, automated calls basically every type of call you don t want. For a small fee of ?1.90 per month, they would provide a box to stop the calls. Is it me or shouldn t BT be doing this for free
SCAM Pre-recorded message stating problems (unusual activity) with my National Insurance Number. Asked to press 1. Female answered with strong Asian accent. Obvious Scam as I am retired and have not paid any NI in ten years.

My mother had a text from this number stating that their had been fraudulent activity, she had apparently spent ?40,00 in Argos this morning which she hadn t. Someone rang from that number claiming to be from Natwest but my mum was sceptical so she rung off and called me. I looked up a real number for Natwest (0800 011 3312) which she rang.
