The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. SCAM 01737 219625 - claim to be BT Open Reach calling about your slow broadband speed and wanting to do a free check. It is a complete scam, when I said it was a business line, the cold caller put the phone down.

After receiving this call, I asked for a return call for me to get my banking details, but checked the 0800 number instead, and got this site. Glad I did. I ll be informing family and friends now. Thanks for this site.

Received a call asking about my car accident - which of course I hadn t had. When I asked who told them I have been in an accident the weary sounding woman just said they would remove my details and rang off. Interesting that if you try to call them on this number it appears not to exist.
Keeps calling. I answered them a couple of weeks ago. "Survey" call. Told them to take us off the list and not to call again. This has had no effect and they are still calling at least twice a day

I received a call from the number: 01274792327. They have said my computer is slow and needs to have software updated and will cost me ?250.00 The caller was acting to be windows when they was not. They was giving false names. I did not give any bank card details or any payment because this is a SCAM. Do not give any bank details, computer serial number, etc. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION OR THE INSTRUCTIONS OF CONNECTING YOUR SCREEN WITH THEIRS AS THEY WILL HACK YOU.
