Raj called and said it was about the accident I had last year, said I d filled in a form asking for a callback. (I haven t). I asked him to remove my number. Very aggressive. Told me there d be a charge to remove my number from their database(!) and when I told him there would be no such charge, he said unless I give one good reason his 500 colleagues will continue to call until I cooperate. I told him that the reason was OFCOM and the response was What s what? Laughable.

SCAM - Claimed to be Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse claiming to offer deals unavailable online for new iPhone contracts. Hung up when I asked to call back, checked with Carphone Warehouse directly and they confirmed it was a scam.
Fraud - Claims to say your NI number is involved in fraudulent activity and that if you don't press 1 you will be arrested. Rang the NCA and on their intro says they're currently investigating it as a scam.
This is reported as "Spam1" by TrueCaller, with at least 135 blocked calls.

Someone called my mobile from this number 02087258118, using an automated voice, saying they were going to suspend my National Insurance number because of unusual activity!! Very threatening and loud voice saying I had to ring back this number immediately. To me that sounds like a scam because anything serious and legal they would have phoned and spoken to me and sent an email. Its twice now that my mobile number has been contacted by scammers and its getting really annoying.

SCAM: 2nd identical call today, but from a 'different' number. Automated female voice saying it was my ‘internet provider’, and I had missed a call from them. (It’s not, and I haven’t because I’m here all the time!) Apparently there’s been some ‘illegal activity’ on my account, and my internet will be disconnected within 24-48 hours. Many repeated automated messages of low quality, on my work phone, asking to call this number. I have had no dealings with the company in the past, and have no debts. Spam at the least, possibly a scam.
Be very carefull. Scammers are using this number in text messages to appear to be genuine BT enginers. Rather worrying as they appear to be organising a home visit. They are not BT.
