SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities. Asking for bank details and for you to contact fraud department as someone trying to get money from your account….not possible to ring them back…scam.

Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. I cannot make them stop so having to change my number. It been happening for months but I ignored them until it ramped up to daily.
Claims he is calling from a company called Assist Co, government backed, claiming that he can make me "debt free". When I asked how didn t he know that I may already be debt free, he said this is why he was calling! Told him I wasn t interested and added this number to my rejected calls list. Asked his where he got my details from, just kept on repeating that he was government backed. Cannot find any info relating to Assist Co on Google

They said they were the National Insurance office, but when I asked if they could confirm that it was a genuine call they got aggressive a put the phone down.
Was called by this number out of the blue saying I can sign up for Amazon Prime for £7.99 per month. I have always decried Prime activation and have in the past asked Amazon to disable Prime on my login. This has been that way for a couple of years now, but this has started again. It was an automatic message call.
