Persistent calling purporting to be a bank (although doesn't say which), that has detected fraud on your account (?) and asks you to press number to contact them. This is a scam.
When I rang back came up as an incorrect number which is never a good sign.
They asked to access my pc to check a frozen crypto wallet. When i asked them why i apparently had £16k in my name they were kindly trying to return to me. I said i wasn't aware of this and they should give it to charity rather than faff about with my pc, this confused the nice man. He insisted i should have my money back, we to and fro'd for a little bit before he eventually accepted that i actually knew more about blockchain transactions than he did.

I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. This number has been blocked. hmmm was it a scam or what. this was my experience, I hope my comments help.

No ring, no answer, immediately terminateed (not by me) The only possible reason for this nuisance call is to check my number is active, which the operator does not need to do, no one else has a valid reason to. Any legitamate reason to verify a phone number would include verification of the recipient, and that's unlikely because of fraud.
