Claimed to be from life insurance company but only knew my name. I asked him to ring back when he knew more about my policy.
Fraud / Scam............... States they're from BT with alarming call that your router is faulty and that your internet line is public. Then starts to asks questions about the lights on router, who uses internet, even knew home address, at that point I hung up. I contacted BT - they do not have any such number listed in their network, also they confirmed no calls were made to line from themselves.
Called asking for me personally when the bill is not in my name. HOW did they get my name? Going on about the "stock exchange" SCAMMER

Called mr, I didn't answer as didn't recognise the number although I knew it was Colchester. Left a voice mail but no message so can't be important lol!! Now blocked.
The above number texted me today claiming they are Amazon and that there had been an attempt from IP address:42.344.91.27 to login my account.
SCAM: Overseas call centre (possibly India/Pakistan) pretending to be Virgin Media called asking me to install AnyDesk.com software to help me "fix internet problems", got very abusive when they realised they'd been wasting their time as I knew instantly it was a scam and kept them on the phone for a while

Put another person on the phone when she got flustered, male then started asking me my security question, what model of phone I had, mt network provider was etc. SCAM - avoid!! Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?

HALIFAX FRAUD DEPT IF a payment gets red flagged this dept of HALIFAX ring to verify that it was you that made the transaction IF this number rings you just ring HALIFAX 0345 720 3040 for your own piece of mind and ask to speak to FRAUD DEPT (HALIFAX told me they had tried to ring me more than once)
