SCAM. Auto message from “my bank” warning of 2 large payment requests from my account of £300 by Amazon and £5000 to a foreign recipient, “as you have never used these before”. The usual “press the button” message followed.
Cold calling is never a good thing. No company/salesman should have the right. And anyone giving them info for a quote deserves their bank accounts emptying.

SCAM - Tried to convince me that they were calling on behalf of a government debt consolidation scheme. When I said I wanted to check the validity of the company, they tried to convince me that they were genuine. I pointed out to them that any genuine company would be fine for their customers to do due diligence and that the fact they were trying to stop me doing that just screamed scam. They hung up on me.
Claimed to be from TalkTalk. Was told my computer had viruses. wanted to fix them remotely - a bit odd to allow someone to take over control of my computer?

SCAM. Somebody apparently from coin stats who said I have money invested and they want to give it to me. They had my email and phone number. Wanted me to log in but wouldn't give me website address nor send me an email confirmation. Absolutely certain I would have been asked for my bank details so they could give me 'my money'. Some energy company wanting to offer a change of meter to a smart meter. Number blocked as they were not my provider.
Another con job phone call. I have no reations here, I have no business contacts here, I have no friends here. In other words there is no one that should be calling me from this location. This being the case they are only trying to get money out of me. These are nothing but dead beats a waste of time and con artists, hence untrustworthy. I have now blocked this number on my call blocker -- they wont contact me from this number again!
