Called my mobile saying they were from BT Business, asked to speak to my friend, Told them this is not his number, they asked for a contact fro him, I said you should have it, they said, this is the only number we have for him. Then asked, you do know him though? and I answered "Yeah". BT Business say the number is untraceable. they may have recorded me saying "Yeah" to use for fraud.

SCAM - Caller knew my name and claimed to be from housing association. Given that others have answered and left comments after being told it is a accident claim company, it is safe to assume this is a scam.
Looks like a financial scammer. Said I had two payments about to be made from my bank account, one for Amazon for £250 and one an international money transaction for £900. Checked with my bank - no transactions due.

Fake HMRC scam. An artificial voice tells you that there's an HMRC lawsuit against you and to call them back.
This bunch have called me twice in as many days. I just had another call tonight. I m also registered with the TPS. Neither myself or my wife are in debt, but automated recordings are not to know that as the call bot relentlessly churns through its number database. Automated calls are extremely annoying as 1) All you can do is hang up (best option) and 2) They obviously don t deem you important enough to at least get a human being to pester you. I got a text message from Halifax saying a Mr Abdul Khan has successfully set up as a new payee on 2/05 if this was not you please call us on 01143600424 ref ST20F07 it’s a scam I phoned my bank immediately they have put a note on my account as a safety measure …Do Not ring phone your bank hope that helps .
