robbed me of money

They called to offer me a free pension review. Knew my address and mobile number. They said new regulations entitled me to check I was not being overcharged for my pension. Seemed very keen for me to get a an IFA to visit. I asked if they were FCA approved and they said no, but that the IFA s were. Rang off as they were trying to press me to commit to give permission for them to access my pension details

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Kept on ringing me, rang me over 10 times for two weeks!! Lady trying to sell me stuff.

I said "yes, I had lots of accidents. which one specifically are you referring to? Which date? Which car?" He could not give me the details. I told him it was strange that he had my name and phone number but no details of my accident. I suggested that his records were in fact just a telephone directory. He hung up.

We received a strange call from this number but seemed to come via New Zealand (but the number is too long for NZ). The caller asked me how I was etc, etc. but not a good line. When asked who she wanted to speak to hung up.
