This number is being used to carry out impersonation scams through WhatsApp. Serious pressure being exerted claiming to be a family member in financial trouble. Fraud carried out via a Metro Bank Account sort code 23 05 80 using various account numbers and Metro Bank don't seem to be concerned. Has been reported to own bank and Action Fraud. This number is causing untold distress and needs to be taken out of service.

Appeared plausible and had some detailed info on my account transactions, however, when calling the number on back of my card, they said they had no record of a call from RBS. I rejected first time round but they called again and I accepted a call just for fun. As expected, they're calling about their "promotion". I said "no thanks" and hanged up. Flagged number as spam on my phone.
SCAM: Recorded call received from 01823 284844 saying bank account 'scammed' with two large sums of money taken out. One by "Amazon" and another amount. Clearly an attempted fraud.
They called and hung up.

This mobile number 07730043765 called my mobile. When I rang it back - recorded operator says - that the number is not recognised?
the person who phoned me on this number sounded very dodgy. Phoned me back after I'd put the phone down too, claiming that there was a serious problem with the internet. Claiming to be from BT.
Just called my mobile - auto voice telling me HMRC have a returned letter and legal proceedings are about to start, press 1 to speak to someone - OF COURSE I hung up - clearly a scam!!
