SCAM Phone message from this number letting me know my Santander account had been paired to a new device - asked me to confirm by clicking the link …………I don’t have a Santander account therefore deleted and blocked
No-one called. I was just checking whether the business (Colonial Garden Furniture) that had this number in 2002 was still trading.
HMRC Scam number, do not press any of the options. I am in Cyber Security so am very aware of the signs to look out for with this stuff. Please be careful

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.

SCAM: Recorded call received from 01823 284844 saying bank account 'scammed' with two large sums of money taken out. One by "Amazon" and another amount. Clearly an attempted fraud.
They called me today claiming to have got my number from LinkedIn. My LinkedIn profile does not have a phone number, in fact LinkedIn keep asking me to add one. They mumbled something about indirect tax and I hung up.

I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. House phone rang, I answered. & nobody spoke. I tried to instigate a conversation & still silence. The line then went dead. Obviously automated connection
