This number purports to send messages from Gov.uk, offering energy rebates. My wife pays the electricity bill not me so I was very suspicious when I was saved for my energy company and then the card details with which the company was paid. Pretty sure it is a scam
SCAM / SPAM It's yet another disingenous automated phone line designed to make it sounds like a "real conversation" because it repsonds to a voice response. They're a bunch of ne'er do well ambulance chasing morons that when you ask where they got your number from, as they were calling my business number, they panic and hang up the phone. Fraud - claim to be from HMRC and that there is a warrant for your arrest due to tax fraud. They might have some of your details so it seems real. Beware it's a scam. They said if you hang up the call, they will tell the courts you tried to run away from arrest, then they will fine you larger amounts. They tell you to stay on the line until they can get this sorted for you out of court and they're only trying to help you. They use multiple number including a cloned HMRC number. Avoid and block.

Hourly calls received for 2 days so far, after I stupidly entered my correct phone number on an insurance comparison site (Quotezone - avoid at all costs). Ive never answered the calls and am unable to block them on my current phone or via my call provider, so I m buying a phone which has call barring on it. When I said hello and asked who I am speaking to, nobody replied and they stated on the line for a few seconds before ending the call.
