Started getting calls from this number. Inserted into by mobile call blocker. Hopefully they will stop calling when they realise I automatically cut them off every time.

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. Know my forename. Stated the call was about an accident I had reported, (news to me). When I stated I hadn t she said OK and hung up.
SCAM Tel No. 07824378626 used to identify a hoax call from Amazon about a £300 odd payment. Similar calls received from other 07... numbers in recent weeks. These calls always follow on from use of Amazon for on-line purchases. This suggests that account activities with Amazon are not properly secure and that scammers monitor recent activity.

An automated call but it tries to sound real by responding to your questions. Was trying to sell life insurance/funeral cover. Most likely a scam of some sort.
SCAM / SPAM It was an automated phone call saying it was HMRC that there was a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion and I had to press 1 to talk to someone, otherwise I would be arrested immediately. Total scam, Google HMRC automated call and the top result is that it is a confirmed scam and you should end the call immediately.

This number rang my 84 year old mother and told her that her boiler warranty is about to run out (her boiler is very old and as far as she knows she s never had a warranty on it.) They persuaded her to sign up for a new warranty and she gave her bank card details. I m going to take her to the bank tomorrow to find out how much they took from her card.
