An Asian voice, poor English spoken, said they were from Open Reach, and needed to check my modem. They made a give-away mistake as they got my internet provider wrong. This number called twice yesterday and once today. Being invited each time to leave a message on my answering machine there were no messages left. On ringing it I (eventually) got a message that the Voice Mail box was full (probably people like myself trying to find out what they were up to). non english accented man called Jack (or Kevin, or Peter)says he is from my internet provider. Asked how my internet is running and I said perfectly he thanks me and hangs up - three calls in two days, not all have had such a polite reply from me.
Latest release - Luke Ballantyne was listed as a Director of HML Consultants but resigned in November 2019, with Sarah Aldrige appointed as a Director in the same month. Ballantyne is listed as a Director of 'Home Cover Group Limited' yet another company offering extended warranties for home appliances. Their telephone number is 0333 2125609. There are a few postings already online indicating this is a further scam. When they call they imply you already have extended warranty cover with them and are asking

Received a scam text message from this number late at night reading: "Hey mum, using friends phone cos my screen broke. can u msg my temp number on whats app 07379573194 x" I also then received another text saying "hi" from 07597207752, which I know also send the same text message above.
