Scam call from an Indian accented man who said he was from BT Openreach and my broadband wasn't working properly. The line is phone only, no broadband. Beware!

They tried to scam me. They claim to be a legitimate business. But they will not disclose any genuine information about themselves. Yet they expect you to give them your personal details. I have since found our that they are fraudsters! DO NOT DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS!

Call centre The caller said he was from Lifestyle habits, and then proceeded without breath to try to ask me questions about my habits. He was clearly reading from a script and was not open to questioning about why he was asking the questions, he just carried on talking saying I wasn't listening to him. Eventually he hung up on me. As far as I was concerned this could have been a Phishing call. In reality it was probably just a nuisance survey type of call.
SCAM / SPAM. Received call from this number claiming to be "The Preservation Advisory Service", saying that an article in the Telegraph had highlighted how additional home insulation could reduce air quality and that they offered a free air quality measurement service. When I asked which company he worked for, he said his manager would tell me after I had arranged a visit from them. I pushed for this and he hung up.

SCAM: 2nd identical call today, but from a 'different' number. Automated female voice saying it was my ‘internet provider’, and I had missed a call from them. (It’s not, and I haven’t because I’m here all the time!) Apparently there’s been some ‘illegal activity’ on my account, and my internet will be disconnected within 24-48 hours. Press 1 to speak to a technician. Utter Tosh.

Fraud - claim to be from HMRC and that there is a warrant for your arrest due to tax fraud. They might have some of your details so it seems real. Beware it's a scam. They said if you hang up the call, they will tell the courts you tried to run away from arrest, then they will fine you larger amounts. They tell you to stay on the line until they can get this sorted for you out of court and they're only trying to help you. They use multiple number including a cloned HMRC number. Avoid and block.

Called today and ulikely to originate from the UK based on the poor line. The person kept using my first name (i.e., Mr A***).
