01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?
GGRRR! So annoying! Persistent calls to speak to someone in accounts - all to do with international payments and foreign exchange to see if they can get a better rate.
