It looks as though they re back at work after the Holidays... received a call from SAM (who sounds American(?)) Said he was from Consumer Refunds or something! He asked for Mr Charles . I told him he had the wrong number to which he asked if I was the owner of the number. I asked if he was on to sell anything, I m not interested. Claimed to be from Sky Technical department about my internet. I do have Sky but I said I didn't believe them & hung up. If it's real, I'd expect them to call back.
SCAM This purported to be from the HMRC telling me that a tax fraud case had been made against me. Press 1 to speak to the case officer (not going to happen!) or a warrant for my arrest would be issued if the call was not connected (yeah right!). SCAM purported to be from Royal Mail saying charge due for parcel delivery with a link to website. I doubt Royal Mail would use text messages like this, and how would they have your mobile number anyway? Don’t follow link even if you are expecting a parcel.
