Caller with strong indian accent asked for me by name then when asked said he was from "Electricity Board". When I asked which electricity company he hung up.

Said I was in an accident that wasn t my fault .I confirmed it was my fault and I am a habitual drink drink driver. They hung up

Recorded message starting "NatWest, Barclays, ...". Tried to hang up but call appears to hold the line open! Called 1471 when dial tone returned. I am registered with TPS.

Do not answer it s a con . They say you owe tax and threatened you with court order for arrest

They lead you to believe that they are calling for feedback on your order. They do not state that this is a sales call regarding extended warranty - which is exactly what they are doing. They make it seem that it is a fee-free service being offered and only mention the cost at the end. They offered me a warranty on 3 appliances for ?200 pounds a year but phrase it as this is only ?1.50 for your appliance. Very dubious sales tactics. I would not be remotely interested.

Be careful. This is a local number to my area but they are the usual scammers pretending to be from TalkTalk. I suspect they are hiding their real contact number.

Often recieve calls claiming to be from Royal Sun Alliance.
