Indian accent, claiming to be from O2 offering 30% discount on your plan. They try to trick you by submitting a 'forgotten password' command onto your account. You receive a genuine text message from O2 with a security code. They try to convince you that's the 'discount activation code' and ask you to give it to them, presumably to hack your account while on the phone to you. Do not give them anything! Fraud

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Asked for my full name, which I queried as he was supposed to have my account records. However, not giving anything away, I did so but he misspelled everything. SCAM Kept 'Morgan' on the line for 12mins while he told me he was from 'Carphone Warehouse Company' and offered an iPhone 13 for £35. He hung up when I asked what city he was in. Number called again a minute later, so I answered with "Hello, Dartford CID"; it hung up!
