I received a call from this number with an automated message saying that this was regarding some important information about my account. They didn t even specify what kind of account nor did they ever identify the company they were calling from. Seems to me like they want to get people to react out of panic because of the word "account". I didn t return any calls or anything, so they kept pestering me and now they are blocked. The only thing I really want to know at this point is how these people get privat

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Call from Simon trying to sell me a call barring service. Gave me a number to call 0845 129 7936. I rang 1471 and got the number he rang from.

They call me constantly, sometimes hanging up straight away other times if I answer its about PPI. I now play around with them. My record is 25 mins waiting for me to find fictitious paperwork... they hang up... I know people dont have time to mess around but i work nights so i quite enjoy it. JUST DON T ANSWER IF YOU DONT WANT TO PLAY WITH THEM.

I have also received a few calls from this number & decided to look the number up to see who it was from. And from the comments above, i have to say i am also leaving Scottish Power & moving to Spark Energy to save money in my meter. Does anyone have any info on Spark Energy that i am moving to, thanks.

this number called today saying it was talk talk warning of a security breach I then hung up. I tried to ring back and an elderly man answered and said he knew nothing about talk talk ????

they called me on my mobile - which I never give out - so am so very curious there... and it looks like other sites too are confirming they are ringing re PPI. I did not answer it. maybe some day when I am bored (and on good form for an arguement) I will answer... and let you all know how it went.

Starts with same prefix as a number of nuisance callers from the area. Thought i'd warn others..

Said she was in my area and they could save me money on my BT bill and would like to come and visit me. Sounded very disappointed when I said no!
