SCAM: 2nd identical call today, but from a 'different' number. Automated female voice saying it was my ‘internet provider’, and I had missed a call from them. (It’s not, and I haven’t because I’m here all the time!) Apparently there’s been some ‘illegal activity’ on my account, and my internet will be disconnected within 24-48 hours. Call centre The caller said he was from Lifestyle habits, and then proceeded without breath to try to ask me questions about my habits. He was clearly reading from a script and was not open to questioning about why he was asking the questions, he just carried on talking saying I wasn't listening to him. Eventually he hung up on me. As far as I was concerned this could have been a Phishing call. In reality it was probably just a nuisance survey type of call.

I got scammed like the last two posters on Saturday 26th June, but at Frankley on the M5 at around 11.30am. I reported it to West Midlands Police and to Action Fraud but have not had a follow up from either yet. Silver Vauxhall VIG2342, very convincing and grateful manner, same story about returning from Belgium and needing money to get back to Ireland and feed his children, same mobile number (07721 950844) - also introduced me to his children and happy to show me his ID. I haven't even bothered contacting

Only know the number because I was randomly charged ?99.99 !! Which is the first random I ve ever encountered while Internet /phone shopping I did receive a random info booklet on holidays a few months / lots of weeks before anyway this number was attached to the payment from my account the only thing I can suggest is to report the company to whomever and to contact your bank stating that a fraudulent company has your card details if you do recieve a catalog from them. Saying that there was no other warning

Hi guys.. We all keep getting these calls!! I know its annoying, illegal, upsetting, etc.. I get probably 5-10 on a daily basis, ranging from PPi, boilers, hearing aids, accidents and many more! When you tell them ur not interested, this is the worst thing you can do, because they WILL NEVER DELETE YOUR NUMBER!! They gets commissions just for contacting you!! So this is what I do now.... Called yesterday trying to drum up business for UK Essentials. Possibly the same "Lady" (Based on accent) called again today asking for my wife, when politely asked what they wanted, initially guessed I was her husband, when asked again what they wanted, they told me they were asking the questions not me and that I should **** off before hanging up.
