Claimed to be from some charity representing Noah’s Ark charity. Started going through the script about Covid, strange times, struggling for funds etc. Before he got the point where he asked me for a donation, I told him that If I wanted to donate to a charity of my choice, I would do it myself. I would not be doing it over the phone to a complete stranger claiming to from a charity. Probably a scam.
SCAM HMRC. Saying you have committed fraud. Jokers. As soon as you question why they don't have your details they hang up. Scum.

Called twice today, 2nd time answered: asked for my partner by name & claimed to be from People's Energy who are our energy supplier and are based in Edinburgh so that matches the area code (0131). My partner wasn't happy to confirm security information for an unsolicited call though and they were happy to end the call requesting we call them. SCAM - says washing machine service contract is about to expire, but I don't have the brand of machine they quoted and I don't have a service contract. They hung up on me after I queried it. Probably would have asked for fraudulent payment for service extension.

Fraud, SCAM, PHISHING 07440008657 claims to be from HMRC in an automated american accent. I pressed 1 to find out more and spoke to a human (with a fake American accent) who immediately asked for my name and postcode. They hung up when I politely said no.

This is a scam - they claim to be HMRC (although he pronounced it HRMC!) and are asking for student tax to be paid. I told them that I am 16 and not working and therefore not eligible for tax. He - an Indian sub continent accented person - insisted I have to pay it until I informed him that I actually work for HMRC and this is a scam. He admitted it was and rang off. NOTE: I don't work for HMRC and I am not 16. BEWARE!!!!

SCAM. Yet another call from the same Manchester area which seems to be a major call scam area. Left no message as is typical of this sort of call from this area. The last call I had from this area with a similar number I answered and it was a recorded message telling me my NI number was going to be cancelled ...... I just closed the call as another scam. It is time telephone companies were held to account for all this misuse.
