Automated call Alleges they're calling on behalf of the Department of Work & Pensions and that my NI number has been cancelled due to some fraudulent activity. They wanted me to #1 & speak to someone. I've blocked the number
Tried to return call and got an automated switchboard. Suspect this is PPI or double glazing or similar cold call, but diverted via my town.
Call answered. They asked if I was me (mentioned my name) I said yes. Then they cut the call
SCAM Claims to be an energy consultant (MG?)but knows nothing. Tried to read from a script. Didn't like being told to stop and listen. Made no comment when I said the call was illegal as I was with the TPS and terminated when I said I would report the number.

Called to say from MBNA and that there was a problem with the account. Indian (asian) voice. Wife was very rude to him. The number that came up was the same as the MBNA help line number with extra 2 added at the end. Called MBNA - very helpful - no they had not contacted us. MBNA say they always text before ringing and only speak to main account holder.

Safe number. This was Domestic & General. I am an existing customer. They were calling after some recent work had been done. They were trying to sell me increased cover for other items.

Have received the same message from these scumbags, from same number even though my mobile is registered with TPS. Have reported it to Vodafone VSPAM 87726 and they have logged it as a SPAM sender. That generally means I will not receive any more SPAM from that number (need to be a Vodafone customer to do this).
