Asian woman said her name was Carol (as if) told me I lived at a house I moved from in 2015. Asked who I had life insurance with and started arguing with me when I told her that's none of her business. She kept repeating aviva, bupa, sunlife is your life insurance with those. Pretending to be from Virgin Media Cyber security department, informing me that there is someone in California using my IP address for illegal purposes, but he would help me sort it out. Refused to tell me the name on the account or the account number because it was a recorded call, having told me it was a secure line and that he would "prove" to me that he was from Virgin if I gave him the information he asked for.

Fraud - Indian call centre claiming to be from O2 but hiding behind a UK number as you are more likely to answer it. Offered savings off my bill and free upgrade wanted my details to check and the one time pass code that O2 were going to send me. Its a massive fraud once they have your account info they will go on a spending spree using your details but changing the delivery address. Just hang up or do not answer.

Scam. Said they were from sky and I may have offers, tried to get me to have fibre broadband. I stupidly gave my address, email etc. Just contacted sky & it appears that it’s not one of their numbers. There’s a recording if you ring the number back that does say it’s a recording on behalf of sky. Just be careful not to give any details.

SCAM: Overseas call centre (possibly India/Pakistan) pretending to be Virgin Media called asking me to install AnyDesk.com software to help me "fix internet problems", got very abusive when they realised they'd been wasting their time as I knew instantly it was a scam and kept them on the phone for a while

Claimed to be from o2, managed to send me an activation code from my actual O2 account then asked me to give him the number despite the message saying I shouldn’t. Clearly a scam, do not give them any details.

Keep getting calls from numbers which start with 01273901924 upto 1937, these are scam calls and they change the last two numbers all the time but its the same scammers and i just let the phone ring as i have a long list of scam calls and i can only block 50 on my phone.
