got called today, they said they would make laptop run faster again if i paid ?315!!!! i did give them remote access to the laptop as i didn t know it was a scam till l8r! i am now attempting to gaet rid of stuff on laptop

Apparently they confirm your name and address to you , but then ask you to confirm some " security details" eg your Bank details that you use to pay you BT account. ...

Insurance scam say they are affiliate of know company. Told them I didn't want any and thanked them for their interest in me. They were still chundering on when I hung up.

they called and when I called number was put through to Legal claims when woman answered. I told her in no uncertain terms I did not require their calls or services and asked to be taken off their list. She informed me it was her only job. Does that give them rights to annoy people

I m so glad i Googled the number while talking to this lovely lady, yes all fair and well it might a great deal and for a worthy cause but I m already giving to my own choice of charity so was not prepared to risk 79.99 being taken from my account should i miss the cut off point or they take it earlier than stated. Caller introduced himself as "Lawrence from Microsoft". Cold call asking for a specific person at our company regarding Yahoo and Bing listings and their verification, allegedly. Claimed he would remove our listing on Yahoo/Bing when I said I wasn t interested! What a stupid threat and what an idiot. He eventually admitted he was from infosure. He didn t get what he called for but he certainly got what he deserved!
