Although polite enough, I was polite on BOTH occasions they called, 2.30pm and 19.33. SCAM / SPAM - Lady over the phone (asian accent) by name of Linda Jones apparently calling from HMRC tax fraud and evasion, evening time. asking for my personal details and full name. Refused to give me her job title or confirm anything in writing/email - threatened to pass over my info to the courts if i didn't co operate. Ended the call when I started asking her information relating to her role.

These people rang me on 01782887349 about 6 months after I tried to use them for a quote. The caller could not pronounce my name correctly and I was unable to make out which Insurance Company she represented. She rang off when I used my "old fart" I can t hear you dear, routine. The company was in fact useful in that originally they informed me of "3" YES "3" to blame claims in my name. I now have none and it was a task to get in touch with the CUE Database people, the BBC, journalists and other insurers
Woman phoned asking if I was Miss (my girlfriend s name) I m not the butchest of guys but I don t sound like a woman.... Very heavily accented Indian accent, also appalling sound quality with lots of noise in the background. When I asked who it was from, she mumbled something about PPI at which point I put the phone down.
The following number: 0208 759 95 77 keeps phoning and when I pick it up, a machine keeps beeping and I cannot hang up. It is a stupid caller who harrass people and blocks the phone line.

SCAM Tel No. 07824378626 used to identify a hoax call from Amazon about a £300 odd payment. Similar calls received from other 07... numbers in recent weeks. These calls always follow on from use of Amazon for on-line purchases. This suggests that account activities with Amazon are not properly secure and that scammers monitor recent activity.
