Thi is the second Glasgow number to phone me today about alleged charges on a visa card to Amazon and an international agency. On phoning back, the number is unobtainable, and I assume a banking scam.

Although the number is a London number it would appear it is redirected from a foreign country as the language was not great and any question I asked was answered with a repeated line stating the deal they were offering and not actually answering my question. Fraud SCAM Claimed to be associated with a government scheme ECO4. This is a genuine scheme providing help with home insulation and energy efficiency for people on certain benefits. However, why would I be called from someone 100s of miles away? They aren’t being paid by the government to make these calls, so who is paying them and why? Advice is Block and Ignore!

A woman with a very foreign accent that I could barely understand, it sounded like she said she was calling from o2 but like I say could hardly understand her. I said I am not with o2 and will be reporting this call to the relevant authorities as it is an unsolicited call, she just said ok and bye.

This sis a very conincing dangerous scam pretending to be fro Royal Mail and using all their logos. They state they could not deliver a package today but they had already been. It then asks for £1.75 to re-deliver. Don't be sucked in.SCAM
There is no point in reporting to the TPS or OFCOM these numbers that any scammer can buy. The telecoms company Magrathea That sold this number also supply a list of phone numbers to call. You are on that list if this number phoned you. Best is to get something like a Panasonic KX-TGJ420E and block all 0203 calls. And leave a Google Maps review for the telecoms company.
In my considered opinion this is a 'SPAM' call. The caller repeatedly interrupted me when I was trying to speak! Said he was from an organisation called 'Premier Rewards'. Sounded highly suspicious - he was telling me he wanted to give me some money .... for nothing!! Yeah!!!

A female voice, who did not identify herself said that she wanted to speak to the home owner. I told her to ring my landlord. She then rang off. She did not use her name or my name, a typical SCAM attempt which failed as I went off script.

Sadly this IS British gas I phoned them and they admitted that yes they do make presumptive appointments for smart meter installs with the onus on the customer to cancel them The appointment was also on my British Gas online account There is currently NO obligation to have smart meters installed Sadly you cant cancel the appointment online you have to phone them Ive not cancelled yet but put my details in an online complaint and instructed them to cancel it If need be Ill make the call before the appointmen

The exact number was 01340 831714. After searching it here, I called the number back. It has a BT call screener on it. A Scottish sounding older lady picked up the phone. I told her my name and said I'd had a missed call from her number at 7:47am this morning (3-3-23). Her reply? "No, not me, no you haven't" and then she put the phone down. I didn't recognise the number so didn't answer but they didn't leave any message on my answerphone. As it was a number local to me I called it back but BT said the number wasn't recognised so looks like a scammer

07956 885146. Suspicious number. Junk mail call - UK. Just had an obviously fraudulent phishing call from this number, a lady with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft and ringing "about the computer". She hung up on the second time that I asked what the call was about.
