Neither myself or my wife are in debt, but automated recordings are not to know that as the call bot relentlessly churns through its number database. This number called me to say that my number has been used in a serious number of crimes and my national insurance number will be suspended if I don’t press 1 to talk to someone. This isn’t real as the police would ring me directly or turn up at my house, not use an automated voice message to tell me. I hung up instead of pressing 1.

Phoned my mobile this morning.Looks like from previous comments, they are saying they are from the same area of the country as the person being called, in this instance the south west. Said my name had been put forward for a payment as I had in the past worked in a factory with noise & machines. He could NOT tell me who had put my name forward, which factory I had worked at or when.As I ve never worked in a factory I dragged the call out as long as poss before he hung up.

Looks like a financial scammer. Said I had two payments about to be made from my bank account, one for Amazon for £250 and one an international money transaction for £900. Checked with my bank - no transactions due.

Got a call from 01246 255920 it was the same company UK Finance who keep ringing me on different numbers. They said i am due 10 year bank charges but could not tell me which bank. I just keep them on the line saying i need to write the number down then can't find my glasses etc. It must be 6 times they have called asking me to ring 0913 1240 871 which could cost me around £25 a call as it is a premium number. Of course once i do ring 0913 they can then release my cheque. I must have wasted at least an hour
