Spoke to the call guy - free assessment. Will give quote for windows but will not put pressure on to buy. Two phone calls - one confirming visit. After calls, googled the company. Lots of very negative reviews of loss of deposits. Looked at both duedil and companies house and both state they have been ordered to wind up and they are in liquidation. SCAM This number called in response to an online chat about my printer not connecting to Internet, callers name was Dave!, he didn't sound like a Dave. I received a very threatening call saying that HMRC are investigating a fraud in my name and to press 1 to respond to it. If I don't press 1 then the police will be called and I will be arrested!
This number rang on 09/03/23. When I answered, the call just ended. This number rang again on 10/03/23. The caller had a South Asian accent, knew my name and enquired about the car accident I'd had. I responded that this would be the car accident I hadn't had and told him to stop wasting my time. There was a fairly insincere 'apology' that he'd been given the incorrect details.
