Every day for the last week I've been receiving numerous text messages about deliveries supposedly mine from DHL. They're definitely not mine! I'm always asked to click on a track and trace link which I don't because it doesn't look right coming from a mobile number, Also receiving daily calls from the same mobiles starting with 07964 378 with the last 3 digits always different. I'm sure this must be a scam.

This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.

Raj called and said it was about the accident I had last year, said I d filled in a form asking for a callback. (I haven t). I asked him to remove my number. Very aggressive. Told me there d be a charge to remove my number from their database(!) and when I told him there would be no such charge, he said unless I give one good reason his 500 colleagues will continue to call until I cooperate. I told him that the reason was OFCOM and the response was What s what? Laughable.

Spoke to the call guy - free assessment. Will give quote for windows but will not put pressure on to buy. Two phone calls - one confirming visit. After calls, googled the company. Lots of very negative reviews of loss of deposits. Looked at both duedil and companies house and both state they have been ordered to wind up and they are in liquidation.
