My 93 year old mother received a call from these scumbags and said something about her standing in front of Windows . She knows nothing about computers.

Keeps ringing several times each week. I know its telemarketing as it only rings a couple of times before cutting off! Why can t the telecomms authorities DO something about these "sons of a thousand fathers"?

Called by an Asian gent who eventually answered me (suspicious already) said he was a technician calling from some company or other (couldn t resolve company name) and said I had something wrong with my computer updates. What! I told him I was an IT Consultant (truth) and he started telling me what to do. Several times I told him he was a scammer but he completely ignored me. This number rang my 84 year old mother and told her that her boiler warranty is about to run out (her boiler is very old and as far as she knows she s never had a warranty on it.) They persuaded her to sign up for a new warranty and she gave her bank card details. I m going to take her to the bank tomorrow to find out how much they took from her card. She has never been sent any warranty paperwork by them. Seems like a scam, almost certainly illegal. Once we know how much they ve withdrawn from her a/c
