SCAM: Man with Indian accent, saying an Amazon Gift card for 39.99 had been charged to my account, from a postcode in London. Asked how I was today & I strung him along to waste his time & said ’not good’. He had my initial, surname, address & postcode, as well as my phone no. I told him I don’t HAVE an Amazon Account. Claims he is calling from a company called Assist Co, government backed, claiming that he can make me "debt free". When I asked how didn t he know that I may already be debt free, he said this is why he was calling! Told him I wasn t interested and added this number to my rejected calls list. Asked his where he got my details from, just kept on repeating that he was government backed. Cannot find any info relating to Assist Co on Google
PPI marketing call Press 5 to speak to someone, press 9 to stop calls. This probably racks up the phone bill to a premium number. Too many phone calls. Getting extremely annoying.

SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.

Two calls received within 24 hours from male with Indian/Asian accent and female with American accent. Both told me that they had information that showed that I had had a no fault accident within the last 2 years. They were obviously reading from a script, refused to tell me where they had got my name, phone number or the accident information from. I told them what I thought of them and they hung up ! Will report it to TPS and ico.org.uk

SCAM - call to try to insist you go to a website to become a stocks and trading pro. Caller would not desist the call, was repeatedly told the call was not welcome - standard response was to repeat that I was unable to decline or have an opinion as he had not told me all about his product and had not yet been to his website.
Trying to tell me I have unpaid debt and the government will write 50% off. Listened for a bit then told him I don t have any debt... then he said "Well Shut the F*ck up and put the phone down you bloody idiot" then he hangs up

SCAM / SPAM 0203 468 5940 is more than likely a scammer . Male with Scottish Accent phoned asking if I had enquired about an Isa. I have not spoken or electronically enquired about an Isa in years. So a cold caller which I had thought was now illegal. Bad vibes. Don't divulge any details. He was pleasant enough but that in itself is a trick of the trade, and he as all scammers are thinking about there next bite. BEWARE.
