Caller said they were from Microsoft and that my software license was targeted by hackers and was going to be disabled unless they fixed the problem. After they had got me to do lots of technical things "eventvwr" and "sysinfo" to prove that there was a problem they led me to the teamviewer website and talked me into allowing them access to my PC, at this point I was swiftly passed to the line manager who wanted to "fix" the problems and charge me.
